Joao Ricardo Vieira Wins Milwaukee

Joao Ricardo Vieira has been ranked No. 1 in the world for weeks now, but he had yet to win an event until he headed to Milwaukee. Plus, Jose Vitor Leme is finally rounding into form and more. Miss a moment of the action this weekend? Here’s what happened around the PBR.

Ageless wonder Joao Ricardo Vieira notched his first event win of the season in Milwaukee, going 3-for-3 to extend his lead atop the world standings.

Cody Teel finished just behind Vieira in the event aggregate for his best finish in more than a year, taking him from on the UTB bubble to No. 12 in the world standings.

It’s been an uncharacteristic season so far for two-time reigning World Champion Jose Vitor Leme, but his fourth-place finish in Milwaukee showed some flashes of his usual greatness.

With his performance in Milwaukee, Moonlight Party thrust himself into the YETI World Champion Bull conversation and did something stock contractor Gene Owen had never seen from one of his bulls before.

Luciano de Castro has been red hot as of late and continued that momentum with a 15/15 Bucking Battle victory.

File this one under something you don’t see every day: Dener Barbosa and Bob Mitchell split the Round 1 victory.

It was crunch time for riders on the bubble looking to escape the cutline, and this Brazilian trio got things off to a strong start.

Tune into RidePass on Pluto TV (channel 720) for replays of all the action in Milwaukee. Round 1 airs on Wednesday, Feb. 9 at 3:45 p.m. ET, and Friday, 2/11 at 3:45 p.m. ET. Meanwhile, on the Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour…

Casey Roberts used the highest-scoring ride of his career to win Round 1 in North Charleston

…but Michael Lane went a perfect 3-for-3 to take the event win.

In Lexington, Kentucky, Mexican sensation Francisco Morales won his career-first Velocity Tour event.

Down under in PBR Australia…

Brady Fielder won the PBR Scone Invitational to take over No. 1 in the race for the PBR Australia title.
