World title race still wide open after first weekend of World Finals

We’re three rounds into the 2023 PBR World Finals at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas, and it’s still anybody’s game. A few heavy hitters have gotten in on the action, but it’ll all come down to next weekend to decide who wins the World Championship. Miss a moment of the action this weekend? Here’s what happened around the PBR.

At the 2023 PBR World Finals…

DAY 1

Derek Kolbaba won Round 1 to start the World Finals off strong…

after navigating a few bumps in the road (literally).

2020 World Finals event champion Boudreaux Campbell also got things rolling in Round 1 as he looks to rebound from missing the Finals in 2022.

DAY 2

The world title race really got going in Round 3 as No. 3 Dalton Kasel and No. 4 Cooper Davis both recorded their first rides of the World Finals.

Davis says he’s hungrier for a world title now than he’s been since he won the 2016 World Championship. The rest of the field should officially be on notice.

Lucas Divino only competed in four Unleash The Beast events this season, but he came on strong to qualify for the World Finals and made the 8 in Round 3.

Colten Fritzlan has been writing down his goals every day this year. Currently 2-for-3 and fourth in the World Finals event aggregate, he’s clearly doing something right.
